Greene King has appointed former Boparan Ventures chief executive Joe Teixeira to head up its Loch Fyne division, MCA has learnt.

Teixeira, who starts at the beginning of February, replaces Liz Williams who is leaving Greene King at the end of January after five years with the company.

The seafood and grill chain currently has 37 outlets across the country.

Teixeira left Boparan in December as part of a shake-up which saw Tom Crowley appointed chief executive of Boparan Restaurant Group.

During his five years with the group he led the development of the Fishworks and Harry Ramsden brands.

He has already had experience in the pub sector after spearheading the deal with Punch to roll out the Harry Ramsden’s brand into some of its pubs.
