Fuller’s, the London brewer and operator, has announced the appointment of Ian Bray, as the new managing director of its beer division. Bray, who was until recently European marketing director of Bunge S.A., a Switzerland-based global foods and agricultural business, takes over the role vacated by John Roberts, who resigned in March this year, to pursue other opportunities. Previous to Bunge S.A., Bray, who will join Fuller’s main board, held a number of senior management roles at both international and domestic level, working with companies such as Wrigley, Miller and SmithKline Beecham. Fuller’s said Bray would take on operational responsibility for its beer division, leading production, distribution, sales and marketing. Bray will report to group managing director Simon Emeny and will join Fuller’s on 12 December 2011. Michael Turner, Fuller's chairman, said: "We are delighted that Ian is joining the board at Fuller's. His exceptional international management and marketing experience will help us to grow sales of our beers both at home and abroad." Ian Bray said: "I'm very excited to be joining Fuller's. London Pride is an iconic British brand, with a great heritage behind it and a huge amount of potential for the future. I look forward to working with the team to really make Fuller's stand out from the crowd and continue its great growth story."
