Ei Group has expanded its Craft Union managed model into London for the first time, MCA understands.

The wet-led community pub model, which is set to reach 270 sites by September, has been expanded to the Old Crown in Hayes. The Lord High Admiral in Marylebone is also set to operate as a Craft Union pub.

Ei Group is understood to be looking at further opportunities for the estate in the capital and the south in general.

The model was launched in the north west and has steadily made its way further south, as well as expanding its offer to include more of a food range.

Earlier this month, Ei Group reported like-for-like sales growth of 6.8% in its managed sites for the 18 weeks to 3 February.
