3Sixty Restaurants has identified its first conversion of a Mitchells & Butlers pub since announcing a joint venture last month.

Chief executive James Horler told MCA that the Cedar Tree – a former Toby Carvery in Nuneaton – is currently being refurbished as the latest Ego in a Pub.

Ego at the Cedar Tree, the group’s 18th site, is expected to open in mid-October.

Horler said the group was actively looking at other opportunities to expand but currently had no further sites in the pipeline.

3Sixty, which already operated three sites with M&B, announced last month that the two sides had launched a joint venture. It saw M&B buy out Luke Johnson’s stake in the company.

Its most recent site, the Fox in the village of Haslington, Cheshire, opened at the end of last month following an extensive £600,000 refurbishment.
