Camm & Hooper (C&H), the new concept backed by Imbiba Partnership, the investment company behind Drake & Morgan, has secured its first site in London. The concept, which will offer all day eating, drinking and a dedicated event space, has taken the Delfina unit in Bermondsey Street. The venue, which is currently under development, is set to open in late March/early April. Claire Lawson, who used to run the Brewery venue in Chiswell Street, is overseeing the rollout of the concept, which will largely focus on a pre-booked offer. Imbiba, which is looking to raise £10m by next March through another Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS), is believed to be in discussions with regards to a number of other sites for the new format. Last month, the group secured its first site for sister restaurant and bar concept Darwin & Wallace (D&W), The Ebury in London’s Pimlico. Imbiba is also looking to invest in a third concept called Hawthorn & Hill, which is focused on food-led pubs with function facilities located across inner London boroughs. Of the projected £10m it hopes to raise by the end of March next year, £2m will be invested in developing Hawthorn & Hill, which currently operates the Yorkshire Grey, a former Sam Smiths site, in Clerkenwell. The remaining £8m will be split evenly between D&W and C&H.
