The Barracuda Group has announced the opening of its first acquisition for 2007, the Ravenscroft in Heswell, Wirral.
The company has invested £800,000 in the pub, which is the 96th outlet to open under its Smith & Jones brand, and its 193 site in total.
The company, which earlier this week reported a 19% rise in turnover to £127.1m for the year to 30 September 2006, plans to open a further 30 new sites this year.
