Adnams, the brewer and pub operator based at Southwold, Suffolk, has announced small job losses among its 300 head office staff.
The company is to make around a dozen people redundant following improvements to the company's brewing and distribution operations.
Andy Wood, commercial director, said: “We have invested a great deal in both a new distribution centre and new brewing equipment. Unfortunately this will mean a very small number of job losses.
Wood said the company would consult with its employees ahead of any announcement.
He said that talk of a “strategic review” at the company was over-stating the case.
