Developer Ocubis has instructed Davis Coffer Lyons (DCL) to market a new restaurant opportunity in The Square Mile.

Cannon Green, will provide up to 6,717sq ft restaurant and bar space with a large terrace, alongside the 90,000 sq ft of lettable Grade A offices, 25,000sq ft gym and leisure space.

DCL and Shelley Sandzer are joint agents on Cannon Green.

Rob Meadows, director, DCL, said: “The new restaurant at Cannon Green will be located adjacent to the new podium entrance to provide an amenity for office occupants, local tenants and visitors. The restaurant will be housed within an impressive glazed podium with double height ceilings and external seating.

“The location is ideally suited to capitalise from the high levels of footfall generated by Cannon Street station - approximately six million people per year - and its increasing working population. Circa half a million people work in the Square Mile and this flagship unit will provide a much needed social calling card for the Cannon Street locality.”

The area is home to a large number of headquarters buildings and some of the City’s key landmarks are in close proximity. Cannon Street and its surrounds have undergone a transformation in recent years, with several high profile, mixed use developments having completed.

Public realm and local amenity provision have been significantly enhanced and will further benefit from the completion of Foster & Partners’ designed Bloomberg Place, where circa 29,000 sq ft of retail accommodation is due to be delivered on a covered, pedestrianised street later in 2016 offering a plethora of bars, restaurants and cafés.
