Springboard, the charity dedicated to supporting young people, disadvantaged and unemployed into a career within the hospitality industry, has re-launched ‘Careerscope’ a website designed to highlight career choices and job opportunities within the industry.

The site http://careerscope.uk.net/ provides information relating to everything from interview techniques, CV hints and tips, through to details on the wide and varied career paths the hospitality industry has to offer. There’s also a chance to hear from those in the industry about what a great place it is to work.

Louise Routh, marketing, communications & PR director at Springboard, said: “This dynamic and interactive site offers a wealth of information on a wide range of careers in hospitality with career tools and advice on how to enter this vibrant industry. There’s information on a host of employers we work with and job opportunities available.”

The revamped website comes on the back of research that shows that 82% of school leavers don’t know what they want to do when they leave full time education. However, off those, 53% would positively consider a career in hospitality, tourism or leisure, double the number of those questioned back in 2005.
