Pizza Pilgrims has promoted Charlie Warren from senior managing partner to head of operations.

Warren joined the Imbiba-backed pizza restaurant group in February 2017 as operations manager, and has worked her way up the ranks, to a senior operations role in December 2019, and senior managing partner.

She was a finalist in the Hero Award category at MCA’s Retailers’ Retailer Awards this year – nominated by Pizza Pilgrims founder Thom Elliott – and praised for being a “driving force of positivity”.

The business has just opened its second site outside London, in Brighton. The restaurant on Ship Street in The Lanes occupies all three floors of the former cookware shop and signals a restart of its regional expansion plans; put on hold in the pandemic.

Elliott told MCA, Warren has been “a huge part of helping us stay true to our values and people as we grow”.

“The promotion will be a great step for her – allowing her to focus less on performance and culture in individual pizzerias and start to assist with more brand level objectives and opportunities.

“She will help us continue to focus on making the best pizza we possibly can whilst being a people first company.”
