Claire Clarke, formerly of The Big Table Group, has joined Loungers as its interim people director.
Clarke was previously group human resources director at Big Table, where she held a number of other roles when the business was known as Casual Dining Group, including HR director and head of HR.
Loungers’ former people director Caryn Savazzi stepped down in December 2021 to run her own consultancy business. She also joined The Breakfast Club as a non-executive director in March this year.
The café, bar and restaurant operator, with almost 200 sites, has continued to significantly outperform the market, reporting like-for-like sales growth of 17.7% in the 40 weeks to 20 February 2022.
A company spokesperson said: “Claire has a strong track record in the industry and, as we approach the landmark of 200 Loungers sites around the country, we’re delighted to welcome her to the team.”
