Hippo Inns, the joint venture between Ei Group and Rupert Clevely, has appointed Adrian Laws, formerly of Oakman Inns and the Big Easy, as its operations director.
Laws joins the group, which will open its twelfth site later next week in Farringdon, after over three years at Oakman, where he spent most of his time as an area manager.
He was also previously a general manager at the Big Easy and Browns.
He replaces Hossey Saghri, who has held the role since Hippo was founded in 2015 and who is looking to open his own pub in Northamptonshire.
Clevely told MCA: “Hossey leaves with our very best wishes and I hope we can work together in the future. Adrian brings a wealth of experience and joins us at an exciting time.”
Next week, Hippo will relaunch the former White Swan Tavern in Fetter Lane as The White Haus with an alpine theme.
