Just Eat is to expand its management board, with its supervisory board having nominated Just Eat’s UK former MD Andrew Kenny to serve as chief commercial officer.

Kenny has been Just Eat for five years and is also a member of the executive management team of the company – most recently stepping into the position of interim COO. MCA understands the role of UK MD is now being recruited for.

Jörg Gerbig will be nominated by the supervisory board for reappointment in his role as chief operating officer, with the management board to therefore consist of CEO Jitse Groen and CFO Brent Wissink, alongside Gerbig and Kenny.

The supervisory board has also conducted a search to fill vacancies within its own board, as it looks to expand from seven to eight members.

Dick Boer will be nominated as chair. He currently also serves as a non-executive director for Nestlé and for Shell plc and as supervisory director of SHV Holdings and served as president and CEO of Ahold Delhaize.

Mieke De Schepper currently also serves as chief commercial officer for Trustpilot and member of the supervisory board of trivago N.V.

Following the appointment of both nominees, the supervisory board will have one remaining vacancy, which it intends to fill with a female supervisory director for which the search is currently ongoing.

Earlier this week, Just Eat Takeaway announced that it expects to generate positive adjusted EBITDA in the second half of 2022, compared with adjusted EBITDA of -£134m in the first half of the year.
