D&D London has appointed Michael Clark as its new operations director as well as two new senior team members at South Place Hotel.

Michael James Parker has been appointed as the hotel’s general manager, while Cynthia Coomb joins as food and beverage director at the venue.

The restaurant, bar and hotel operator said the new appointments signalled “an exciting new chapter for D&D London”.

Parker and Coomb are planning an extensive refresh of the hotel’s F&B operations, which include the Michelin-starred Angler restaurant.

Clark, who was most recently operations director at The Ivy Collection, returns to the group where he started his career as a restaurant manager at Coq D’Argent, before going on to become general manager at Sartoria and then Le Pont de la Tour.

D&D London is looking to grow its estate significantly in the next two to three years with 16 potential projects in the UK and overseas currently in the pipeline.

The restaurant group is moving into a more expansive phase following the challenging past 18 months with plans for new restaurants in cities across the UK as well as in London as it looks to reduce its dependency on the capital.
