Colin Hill has been appointed as the new chief executive for Nando’s UK & Ireland.

He joined the business in May and has since undergone a 10-week induction before official assuming his role on 20 July.

Hill had served as chief executive of All About Food – the sister company that handles Nando’s’ grocery business.

Maria Horn, who had been appointed acting CEO for the UK & Ireland in February this year, following the promotion of Papps from managing director UK & Ireland to group CEO, has now taken up the role of group chief operating officer.

She joined Nando’s in September 2014 as people director before being made compass director, where she oversaw the brand’s growth.

Commenting on Hill’s appointment, Rob Papps, Nando’s group CEO, said: “I am delighted we have been able to find someone to lead this very special business who is inspired by the same vision that people should be genuinely at the heart of everything a business does.”
