Bill’s, the Richard Caring-backed chain, has appointed Camilla Katte, formerly of Giggling Squid, as its new chief marketing officer, MCA understands.
Katte spent the previous two and a half years as marketing director of Giggling Squid. During her time there, she was responsible for creating, developing and implementing a brand, marketing and PR strategy from scratch, plus seeing the business successfully expand from 14 to 24 sites.
Previous to that she spent four and a half years at Carluccio’s, during which time the restaurant group more than doubled in size and launched internationally.
Bill’s chief executive Duncan Garrood said: “We are delighted to welcome Camilla to Bill’s. As we look increasingly to marketing each of our restaurants within their local communities and build our local customer base, Camilla brings a wealth of experience, energy and creativity and a great track record that will be invaluable for us. She is a great addition to the team.”
Katte replaces Catherine Salloux who stepped down as marketing director at Bill’s earlier this year.
Salloux joined the company in January 2016 from Interstellar Marketing. She had previously spent five years as marketing director at ASK.
