YO! Sushi, the Robin Rowland-led group, is close to securing its first site in Northern Ireland.
The company, which recentky secured a further three sites in London for openings this summer, is looking to open a site in the Victoria Square scheme in Belfast.
YO! Sushi’s property director, Kieran Sherlock said: “We have identified Belfast as a great opportunity for YO! Sushi and have viewed a number of locations. We are currently in discussion with Victoria Square regarding possible opportunities within the centre and hope to confirm a definitive location in the coming weeks.”
The shopping centre is already home to other family restaurants, such as Cosmo, Chiquito, Pizza Express and Nando’s.
The Quilvest-backed company, which opened in Kingston before the end of last year, will open at Baker Street tube station, High Street Kensington, Richmond and Heathrow T2 across May and June.
The restaurant group plans to open a further five restaurants across the country, creating 250 new jobs.

YO! Sushi UK serves 120,000 guests per week or six million per annum, with average spend per head at £15.
