Social Entertainment Ventures has rebranded as State of Play, as it approaches its 10-year anniversary.

The operator of the Bounce, Hijingo and Flight Club USA concepts has launched a new website, and also appointed Strahan Wilson as its new chief financial officer (CFO).

Wilson was the former CFO at Coté Restaurants, and previous to that held the same role at EAT.

Founder Adam Breedon has now moved into a non-executive role.

In October last year the operator announced it was to invest in refreshing its Bounce table tennis brand, as well as launching new technology to support Wonderball – its digitally enhanced gaming platform.

Plans to open the first Hijingo site were put on hold due to the pandemic but the launch in of its new 200+ capacity Shoreditch venue is now pencilled in for summer 2021.

Lesley Mcilroy was recently appointed as UK marketing director for SEV.
