Foster’s Group has announced that three more senior executives have left the company on the eve of the completion of its takeover by rival brewer SABMiller.
Stephen Matthews, chief financial officer; Peter Cantwell, managing director, sales; and Katea Downie, human resources, have all left the brewer.
Their departures follow the announcement that Foster’s chief executive John Pollaers was to step down to be replaced by Ari Mervis, SABMiller Asia managing director.
SABMiller’s c.£6.5bn acquisition of Foster’s Group was approved by the Australian brewer’s shareholders last week and is due to be completed tomorrow.
