Pitt Cue Co, the American-style BBQ concept, is looking to open further sites in the London, after the launch of its first standalone unit in Soho earlier this year.

The concept, which previously operated from a patch under the Hungerford Bridge, is understood to have recently missed out on a site in Middlesex Street for its second opening and is thought to be interested in initially opening up to four outlets in the capital.

The first Pitt Cue Co opened in Newburgh Street in January.

The business was founded by Jamie Berger and Tom Adams, while backers include Hawksmoor executive chef Richard Turner and Simon Anderson, who previously co-owned the Albion gastropub in Islington with Turner.

The four have also signed up with publisher Stephanie Jackson to produce their own cookbook, which will be published next summer, featuring recipes used in the restaurant.
