London-based Incipio Group will open its ninth site, a neighbourhood bar in the Angel Building in London’s Angel area in September. The 411 is inspired by the ‘creative energy’ of New York City, combining food, cocktails, and Incipio’s ‘trademark vibrant atmosphere.’

Chipotle Mexican Grill has completed a site acquisition at 49-51 Lordship Lane in South London, with more details on the opening to be announced soon. The brand recently opened its 14th UK site in Twickenham and is on the lookout for further neighbourhood locations with high footfall.

 

The Dally, Islington

A new inclusive private members club, The Dally, has secured its first site on London’s Upper Street, due to open in Q4. The female founder-led concept aims to offer an affordable membership and a programme of member events to ‘address the growing problem of isolation, disconnection, and dissatisfaction’ with the traditional members club model in London.

The 4,000 sq ft, three-storey period clubhouse will have multi-use areas to focus and meet, along with a lounge, bar, 32-cover chef-led restaurant, and private hire spaces.

 

The Good Front Room, The Langham, London

Modern Caribbean restaurant The Good Front Room has launched in The Langham hotel in London. The restaurant showcases flavours from chef Dom Taylor’s Caribbean heritage and South London upbringing, spotlighting ingredients such as plantain, goat, rum, and sorrel.

The venue will be open for six months from 15 July 2023.

 

Kibou, Cambridge

Japanese group Kibou will open its fifth site, a 150-cover restaurant on Cambridge’s Jesus Lane, adding to its existing sites in Cheltenham, Battersea, Bristol, and Solihull. The offer will include sushi and sashimi sharing platters and rolls, wagyu, tempura, ramen, donburi, and other Japanese dishes.

The venue will also have a standalone bar with Japanese whisky, sake, umeshu, beer, and Japanese-inspired cocktails.

 

64 Goodge Street, Fitzrovia

Woodhead Restaurant Group will launch a new venue in London’s Fitzrovia, offering French cuisine in ‘a relaxed setting, channelling bistro spirit.’ The 1,595 sq ft site is located close to the junction with Charlotte Street, and will add to the group’s portfolio, which includes Portland and Clipstone in the area as well as The Quality Chop House in Clerkenwell.

 

Charles Artisan Bread, Broadgate

Specialist micro-bakery Charles Artisan Bread has launched its third site on London’s Eldon Street. The 540 sq ft site – located between Liverpool Street and Moorgate stations – will add to existing bakeries in Stratford and Hackney.

It will offer artisan sourdough bread, freshly baked handmade pastries, baguettes, focaccia, croissants, and brownies.

 

Karapincha, Canary Wharf

Sri Lankan concept Karapincha will open its first permanent site in London’s Canary Wharf this August. The 350 sq ft site within the Canary Wharf tube station will be a next step for the family-run business, which currently operates in the capital’s Spitalfields Market, Mercato Metropolitano Elephant & Castle, and Market Place Vauxhall.

The all-day, 10-cover café will offer authentic Sri Lankan dishes as well as a breakfast offer.
