Manzi’s, Soho
The Wolseley Hospitality Group has announced it will open its new seafood restaurant, Manzi’s, at Bateman’s Buildings near Soho Square in May 2023. The two-floor venue will have an all-day seafood-focused offer with an outdoor terrace and private dining room.
The Real Greek, Edinburgh
The Real Greek will open its 26th site and make its Scottish debut in Edinburgh’s St James Quarter on 12 December. The new 140-cover site will offer indoor seating and a click-and-collect offering, and will be the first Greek restaurant in St James Quarter.
The opening is the group’s fifth new site in 2022, following openings in Manchester, Newcastle, Solihull, and Gloucester, with further openings in Scotland in the pipeline.
Sam’s Waterside and Sam’s Larder, West London
Restaurateur Sam Harrison will open local restaurant and deli concepts Sam’s Waterside and Sam’s Larder at The Brentford Project in West London in summer 2023. The new venues will add to the portfolio of Sam’s Riverside in Hammersmith and Sam’s Larder in Hammersmith and Chiswick.
Sam’s Waterside will be an all-day brasserie launching in July as a 4,000 sq ft space with an informal dining offer, encompassing a restaurant, bar, and waterside outdoor terrace, while Sam’s Larder is a gourmet deli and grocer concept.
Rudy’s Pizza Napoletana, Liverpool and Birmingham
Neighbourhood pizzeria concept Rudy’s will open in Liverpool’s Royal Albert Dock on 12 December and in Brindleyplace, Birmingham, in 2023. The new sites will serve authentic Neapolitan pizza, with classic recipes originating from Naples.
Sonora Taqueria, Stoke Newington
Sonora Taqueria has exceeded its crowdfunding target and raised £74,000 to open its first permanent restaurant in Stoke Newington next year. The concept began as a food stall in Hackney, and will open a two-storey site with an expanded menu serving tacos and beer.
Nord, Liverpool
GSG Hospitality and chef Daniel Heffy have partnered to open a fine dining restaurant in Liverpool in February. Nord will be located in office complex The Plaza and is intended as a destination restaurant, with a focus on British ingredients as well as influences from Stockholm.
