Imbiba Partnership, the investment vehicle led by John Connell, has so far raised £4.1m out of the £6m it is looking to secure from its latest round of fundraising as it looks to add further sites to its Darwin & Wallace (D&W) and Camm & Hooper (C&H) vehicles.
The group, which recently secured a second site for D&W in Clapham and is closing in on a third in central London, will close its third-round of fundraising on 5 April. The new funding will be shared equally across both its concepts.
It secured £4.5m in its latest round of EIS fund raising which closed last autumn.
The company, which launched the first D&W site last year at the former The Ebury pub in London’s Pimlico, will open Banking Hall in the City, the second site under its Camm & Hooper vehicle, next month.
Rob Millar, previously sales manager at Great Northern Hotel, recently joined C&H as business development manager working closely with sales director, Darren Hart.
D&W’s The Frog will relaunch in late May under a new name following a major refurbishment, and will offer casual all-day dining and drinks along with views over Clapham Common from its revamped roof terrace.
It is now about to close a deal on its third pub which will be in a more central London location and should be open by late summer, according to managing director Melanie Marriott.
