Hawksmoor, the four-strong steakhouse concepts led by Will Beckett and Huw Gott, is reportedly attracting bids from private equity companies as it looks to expand.
Graphite Capital has been linked with plans to make an offer for the business, according to private equity magazine Real Deals. The magazine quotes a second source saying that Hawksmoor would rather obtain growth capital backing instead of selling off a majority stake.
Hawksmoor owner Underdog Group counts Hill Capital, the advisory and investment fund headed by ex-Clapham House Group chief executive Paul Campbell, amongst its investors.
