Italian gelato brand Amorino is looking to expand from 20 sites currently to 50 units by the end of 2025.

It has retained the services of food franchise specialist Seeds Consulting, to help it growth across the UK, with an additional 10 sites planned to open this year, as well as internationally.

The business, founded in 2002, now has more than 200 stores across Europe, the US and Mexico.

It said it had seen a successful post-Covid performance in major cities including London and Leeds, as well as regional locations like Marlow, and was confident about bringing into brand to more communities in the UK.

UK MD Hubert Attali said he was “thrilled to announce our partnership with Seeds Consulting as we pursue further growth in the UK market”.

Matteo Frigeri, founder of Seeds Consulting, said: “Apart from the sheer store count - there are over 200 Amorino locations worldwide - what sets it apart from other gelato franchises is a strong EBITDA margin, especially considering we are not charging any turnover royalties, and the fact that the system has been designed to be exceptionally easy to run.

“We already have a strong, growing presence in central and suburban London and we are now looking to develop more regionally and in shopping and leisure schemes”.

Alongside its iconic flower-shaped gelato, Amorino shops also offer gelato macarons, crêpes, waffles, tarts, milkshakes, and Italian-style hot chocolate and coffee.
