Dukedom, the Redcar-based pub and bar operator, has been placed on the market, M&C Report understands. The company, which is led by Sam Wright, currently operates 26 freehold/long leasehold high street pubs, bars and late-night venues across the Midlands and the North of England. Property advisors Christie + Co and Sanderson Weatherall are believed to be jointly marketing the group of sites, which are thought to be worth in excess of £11m in total. According to the latest accounts filed at Companies House, the group reported a pre-tax loss of £153,246 for the year to 31st March, against a profit of £783,159 for the previous year. Turnover stood at £13.3m for the year to the end of March, against £15.6m in the previous 12 months.
