Chipotle Mexican Grill, the Mexican restaurant chain, is looking to open at least two new sites in London by the end of the year.

The six-strong group, which has retained Cushman & Wakefield to advise on potential expansion plans in the UK, is currently looking at two sites in the City, plus a further unit in the West End for possible openings in 2014.

It is thought that the group is trading well across its current UK estate and is happy to take a steady approach to its expansion here.

The group is not currently considering locations outside of the capital. Sites ranging from 1,000 to 2,500 sq ft in the City and the West End are being sought

It currently operates sites in Wardour Street, St Martin’s Lane, Charing Cross Road, Baker Street, Upper Street and Wimbledon.
