Bacardi has announced it is to invest $250m (£123m) in its Dewar’s Scotch whisky brand. The company plans to increase the production of the brand it acquired in 1998, as it looks to widen its operations and capitalise on emerging markets such in Asia and Latin America. The investment, which will be spread over the next decade, will be used to expand the group’s blending, packing and bottling operations, with 18 new warehouses being built.
