Three fledgling eating-out concepts are to be added to the Harrods 102 complex. Existing retail space at the food hall, which is near the eponymous luxury department store on London’s Brompton Road, will make way for ESH, Humble Pie and Tossed.

ESH, an abbreviation of Eat Simple and Healthy, is a new concept by Caviar House, the operators of airport seafood bars. It will serve Lebanese mezze along a sushi-style conveyor belt, with three different price points.

Humble Pie, founded by Paul O’Donnell and Pippa Malmgren, will launch its first main non-catering focused site.

Tossed, the salad-bar chain, will open its fourth UK site, serving made to order salad bowls, fresh fruit, wraps and smoothies.

The formats will join existing foodservice brands, which include Krispy Kreme and YO! Sushi.

Harrods said that it had decided to change the focus of 102 and develop it into an all-day dining destination, which could also capitalise more on lunchtime trade. The group said that it had discovered that the eateries attracted a different customer base to the department store, and that those wishing to make retail food purchases used the main Knightsbridge site.

The three formats are scheduled to start trading at Harrods 102 by May 1.
