Pizza Hut celebrates its golden anniversary today.
It has more than 11,000 outlets and $10bn (£5bn) in annual sales.
But The Times says the business is not as strong as it was a few years ago, It closed more restaurants in the US last year than it opened, which the group blamed on issues such as leases ending.
