Harveys Brewery, the Sussex-based family owned brewer, has released two seasonal ales. It is producing the 5.5% abv Star of Eastbourne for October only. Plus, a 4.3% abv Old Ale, available from October to April, will be sold in 500ml and 275ml bottles, and polypins (20 litres). Star of Eastbourne is an old-style India Pale Ale, which has a full hop aroma, golden body and tight head, according to the brewer. Old Ale, first brewed as No.1 Brown, was then named Exhibition Brown Ale due to the number of awards it gained at international brewers’ exhibitions.
