Thaikhun, the Thai Leisure Group-owned brand, is set to offer a “highlights” version of its main menu and pre-bottled cocktails when it makes its Deliveroo Editions debut in Hove later this summer.

The company told MCA that it has been tweaking and experimenting with a ‘”highlights” version on its main menu for Deliveroo over the past few months in its existing sites.

The group said: “This will continue to be developed. Key changes have included the removal of dishes that simply don’t travel well, kids sized portions and upgraded size portions of the main courses. We are developing interesting new packaging, currently trialling concepts that would be first to the market. We are also developing a range of pre-bottled cocktails for the delivery market.”

By the end of 2017, Deliveroo expects to be working with more than 200 restaurant operators at 30 different sites, with around five or six at each site.

Thaikhun is expected to be joined by GBK and Chilli Pickle at the Hove site, which is expected to be the first Editions delivery kitchen unit to be launched outside London.

On whether they would do more Editions going forward, the company said: “We are excited by the opportunity and hope there will be future scope, but are aware it is the first site out of London for the brand and will keep a careful track on the commercials.”
