A new tranche of operators have gone live in Canary Wharf under Deliveroo’s RooBox initiative, MCA understands.

On The Bab, Yoobi, Dirty Bones, Tommi’s Burger Joint, Senor Ceviche and Buns & Buns are all now available on Deliveroo in the area.

None of the operators have physical sites in the commercial district, and all are being offered with no delivery charges.

They join previously announced names Motu Indian Kitchen, the Sethi family delivery-only concept, and MEATLiquor, whose launch at Canary Wharf was revealed in MCA on Friday.

Deliveroo’s RooBox scheme sets up operators in off-site delivery only kitchens in areas not well served by restaurants, with Canary Wharf seen as having huge potential due to its high density of commercial and residential property in a small area.

On The Bab is a four-strong Korean street food concept founded by Linda Lee, who also operates Koba and Nizuni.

Yoobi is a Japanese-Brazilian temakeria fusion with one site in Soho and previously trialled RooBox in Battersea.

Dirty Bones, a three-strong Americana and cocktails concept from Dipak Panchal, has a further two sites due to open in Soho and Oxford.

Tommi’s, the Icelandic burger concept, has two sites, with a third on the way in Soho, and also took part in a RooBox trial in Battersea.

Senor Ceviche, the Peruvian street food concept founded by Harry Edmeades, has a site in Soho’s Kingly Court.

The only operator new to the UK is Buns & Buns, a Miami-based restaurant serving globe-trotting cuisine including corn fritters, Mediterranean salad and Taiwanese steamed buns.

Deliveroo is understood to be planning a major rollout of RooBox sites across London and the UK.
