Deliveroo now has 1000 virtual restaurant brands on its platform – a figure it expects to double by mid-2019.
Jamie’s Pizzeria, developed by Jamie’s Italian, was Deliveroo’s 1000th virtual brand, launching in Taipei.
Other examples of virtual brands include The Chickpea, a vegetarian and vegan offering created specifically for Deliveroo Editions by Waleema, and Xin Dom Sum, which was back through Editions by Ekachai after it was previously in Selfridges a few years ago.
Launched in the UK in 2017, there are c400 virtual restaurant brands on the Deliveroo platform including Yoobi Sushi’s Lolo Poké and Noodle Inn’s Mr Miyagi Ramen & Bao.
