Deliveroo has reported orders for vegan food were up 147% in 2017 on the previous year.
The online food delivery company has seen the number of vegan restaurants on the platform more than double in the last year, with more than 20,000 vegan dishes available nationwide on Deliveroo, up 133% on 2016.
The data release coincides with Veganuary, with more than 150,000 people expected to take part in the UK, and 67% of people who took part in Veganuary in 2017 sticking with their dietary decision throughout the year.
The most ordered vegan dishes on Deliveroo at the moment at Sri Lankan Sweet potato and green bean curry from Mildreds, vegan spring rolls from Tampopo, sabai vegetable wrap from Sabai Thai in Brighton, acai bowl from East London Juice Co, and chilli sin carne from Le Pain Quotidien.
