Caffè Nero has revealed more plans about its growth in the UAE.

As M&C Report revealed in January, the coffee chain is set to open six stores in the first half of this year through franchisee Al Tayer Group. The first was at the Dubai Mall, with other stores set to open The Palm Jumeirah, Sheikh Zayed Road, Cleveland Clinic in Abu Dhabi, Sahara Centre in Sharjah, amongst others.

The company has now said another six will follow in following seven to eight months.

David Singleton, vice president – hospitality, Al Tayer Group, said: “We’ve taken our time to develop and test the new design to establish Caffè Nero as the stand out artisan coffee house, and whilst the quality of our award-winning coffee has always been recognised, we now think that our rustic coffee house design will differentiate us from the rest.

“We’re operating in a fast growing competitive market and we have to make a difference to support our growth program. The new look in The Dubai Mall has been very well received and we’re now set to open six by the summer with a similar number in the pipeline for the following seven to eight months”.
