Caffè Nero has expanded its at-home range into Sainsbury’s and Amazon following a surge in its ecommerce sales.

Since the second national lockdown in November last year, the company has seen sales of its at-home range increase 218% across its delivery and click-and-collect channels.

The range, which includes bags of whole beans and ground coffee, is available on Amazon now, and its capsules will be available to buy on Sainsbury’s online from next month.

Over the coming months, the company has said it plans to add capsules to its Amazon offer.

The celebrate the expansion, Nero is giving away 1,000 bags of coffee in a free to enter competition on its website.

“We’ve seen a surge in sales of our Coffee at Home range through our own website, and huge growth in our in-store Click and Collect service and our at-home delivery service via Uber Eats since they launched last summer,” said UK chief executive Will Stratton-Morris.

“It shows both the high demand for our speciality coffee and the evolving nature of how customers want to buy it. We’re delighted to be extending the availability of our popular at-home range even further with the roll-out to Sainsbury’s and Amazon.”
