Richard Baker, non-executive director at Whitbread, yesterday invested just over £50,000 in raising his stake in the operator of the Premier Inn and Costa Coffee brands.
Baker, who was previously chief executive at Alliance Boots, spent £50,115 acquiring 3,186 shares at 1573p, to take his holding in the leisure group to 8,152.
