    Furlough, finance, funding and forfeiture are the four key areas that UK Hospitality is working on with the government, UK Hospitality CEO Kate Nicholls told attendees at MCA’s first online event, The Conversation. Following the announcement of the Jobs Retention Scheme, which allows employers to recover 80% of wages for furloughed employees, Nicholls said she was seeking clarification on areas including holiday accrual, tronc payments, and workers that were hired but had not started work before the 1 March JRS qualification threshold.

    Online wholesaler StarStock has teamed up with Brakes, Coca-Cola European Partners and Use Your Local to launch mypubshop.com, an e-commerce platform for pubs to offer essential groceries like bread, eggs and milk via click and collect. Admiral, Greene King and St Austell have all signed up.
