One in five diners would be prepared to pay extra for coeliac friendly dishes, according to new research.

The survey, commissioned by Aviko, found that 29% would not return to an establishment that did not offer an adequate number of gluten-free options.

It follows research showing 73% of people don’t feel pubs, hotels, cafés and restaurants do enough to cater for gluten intolerances.

The latest research was released in the run up to Coeliac Awareness Week (11th - 17th May 2015).
