McDonald’s is to begin trialling a delivery service in three Florida markets next month.

According to reports in the US, the fast food behemoth will deliver food orders from c200 sites in Orlando, Tampa and Miami after teaming up with UberEats.

The trial service will allow customers to order from the McDonald’s menu through the UberEats website or mobile app and have food delivered to their homes by an Uber driver.

The delivery service trial comes after the company has rolled out self-order kiosks to more than 500 US sites, with plans to expand the option to locations in additional markets including Chicago and Boston.

It is also testing a mobile-ordering app that will allow customers to order and pay for food using their smartphones.

The service is expected to be available at 20,000 to 25,000 restaurants worldwide by 2018.

The partnership with UberEats is McDonald’s second foray into the world of delivery service.

Last year, the company began testing home delivery in New York City through Postmates, the San Francisco-based startup.
