Livebookings, the UK-based provider of online marketing services for restaurant, has created two new business divisions in preparation for aggressive growth plans.

The divisions, consumer and merchant services, will be headed respectively by two new managing directors, Joe Steele and Guy Halfhead.

“This is an exciting time for the company,” said Livebookings chief executive Colin Tenwick. “We are on track to process more than 25 million bookings before the end of 2013, representing a 40% growth on 2012.

“This is testament to how quickly the sector is growing, and we have ensured we have the best team in place to continue to drive growth.”

Steele, who will spearhead the drive across digital revenue streams, joins Livebookings from the Thomas Cook Group where he was group director for e-commerce.

Halfhead was Livebookings’ vice president sales, recently negotiating partnerships with some of the hospitality industry’s biggest names including Michelin and Relais & Châteaux. In his newly created role he will manage the growth of business development, customer services and merchant subscription sales and services globally.
