Food tech start-up CityMunch has launched a campaign for independent restaurants to take on branded operators with a 50% discount.
The startup, which backed by Just Eat, is connecting restaurants and consumers through its Merchant Mobile App, through which they will offer half price lunches until the end of May.
Rob Lynch, chief executive and founder of CityMunch, said: “From Brazilian street food to halloumi wraps, CityMunch is encouraging people to break a habit and try something new for less. We’re brightening up someone’s Monday by connecting them to high quality and great prices. And we’re giving local eateries a leg up by helping them to reach new customers.”
