Michelin has acquired Restaurantes.com, on online restaurant booking platform in Spain with more than 5,000 establishments.
It follows Michelin’s acquisition in January 2016 of UK based Bookatable, which enabled it to grow its presence in the European online restaurant booking market as well as develop its technology.
Michel Cassius, chief executive of Bookable, said: “We are pleased to welcome the Restaurantes team and their partners into the Bookatable by Michelin network.
“With this acquisition, Bookatable continues its expansion and has strengthened its position as the European leader in the online restaurant reservation market.”
