Younger drinkers spend the most on wine according to a recent survey which found people aged 24 – 35 spent an average of £21 on a bottle of wine in a restaurant compared to £10 by the over 55s.

Following the survey by Oz Clarke, conducted by Censuswide, wine merchants Jascots found that the three most popular wines for the 24 - 35 year old group are Mas de la Source Réserve Rosé, Cielo Sauvignon Blanc; and robust reds such as Sangiovese, Rocca.
