Dewar's White Label and Special Reserve 12-year-old Deluxe scotch whisky are set to be launched in the UK by United Brands, the Scotland-based distribution company. Dewar's, which has not been widely distributed in the UK since 1990, will be made available in the on and off trade. Alistair Mutch, United Brands managing director, said: "We will be looking to re-introduce the Dewar's name to whisky bars, hotels and retail outlets all over Britain." Dewar's brand has previously won medals and awards for the quality of its whisky, distilled in Aberfeldy, Scotland. Mutch said: "After its many years absence from the UK market Dewar's continues to be bought by thousands of customers in duty free ports and airports across the UK." United Brands also distributes Dooley's Vodka Toffee, Toussaint Coffee Liqueur and XXX Tequila.
