Signature Brew, the London-based music-themed brewery has raised money though crowdfunding to expand its brewing capacity to meet demands to national distribution and exporting.

It will share a site at Leyton with Five Points Brewery in March to increase brewing capacity to 3,500HL of annually with a 10bbl brewhouse.

High-profile supporters of the campaign have included musicians Enter Shikari, Frank Turner, Baby Godzilla, Chicane, HooDoo Pop, Ed Harcourt, Scroobius Pip, Jake Morley, Great Cynics, JB Conspiracy, and Chas Palmer-Williams.

The money raised through CrowdCube will allow Signature Brew to meet the demand for music-inspired beers, made in collaboration with musicians, that hope to raise the standard of beer available in live music venues.

Founded in 2011 by Sam McGregor and Tom Bott, Signature Brew has since sold beer in to some of the largest music venues in the UK and nationally in Morrisons.

Co-founder Sam McGregor said: “Working closely with artists has always been at the heart of everything that Signature Brew does. We’re excited to now be able to count some of our favourite musicians amongst our shareholders – as well as opening up this opportunity to music and beer fans alike.”
