Meantime Brewing Company, the London brewer led by Nick Miller, has increased the investment in its production facility with £150,000 spent on installing three fully automated malt grain silos.

The new silos can hold 100 tonnes of malt, the equivalent of 4,000 25kg bags. Meantime, which last year announced a £3m expansion plan, said they would allow the team to meet the increased consumer demand more effectively.

Miller said: “The installation of the new grain silos marks the latest stage in our long term strategy to modernise the brewery.

“By automating the process of transporting malt, we are better equipped to offer our team of expert brewers more time in crafting a consistently brilliant product, which pushes and breaks through the boundaries of invention and quality - something we consider a hallmark of the brand.

“With further development planned, the continued investment in the advancement of other aspects of technology at the brewery remains a cornerstone to the future of Meantime.”
