Karma Kitchen has announced the business has trebled its number of kitchen units in operation in 2023 through the completion of three new sites.

The commercial production kitchen operator has launched sites in Bermondsey and Sydenham, in addition to its sites in Wood Green, Hackney, and London Fields.

It works with operators including The Athenian, Sam’s Chicken, and Tacos Padre. It will launch its sixth site in southwest London in the new year, quadrupling the size of its business in one year.

It has also grown its business through new brand partnerships, senior hires, and the creation of a new financial product, Karma Credit.

The lending product is designed to make kitchen setup and scalability easier for hospitality businesses by helping Karma Kitchen’s tenants spread initial capital expenditure over a longer period of time.

Its partnerships with Deliverect and Marketman have added to the support package on offer for Karma tenants, while senior appointments include Wendy Elzinga as head of operations and Harriet John as financial analyst.

Eccie and Gini Newton, co-founders of Karma Kitchen, said: “It has truly been a landmark year for Karma Kitchen, we’re so proud to end it nearly four times bigger than we started it. That growth has allowed us to do more as a business, with Karma Credit and new partnerships meaning more amazing operators are able to start and grow with us, with better targeted support for their unique needs. With more sites coming online in 2024, we have a great 12 months ahead of us, and we’re really excited by the planned growth and developing relationships with even more brilliant hospitality brands.”
