Gary Usher’s Elite Bistros group is to launch a nationwide meal kit delivery service this week.

Each kit will come with all the different elements of the meal, freshly prepared and packaged in individual, sealed bags; and delivered with recipe instructions from Usher and his team.

While the full menu is yet to be announced, Usher confirmed the braised featherblade of beef dish, which is a mainstay of the menu at each of his Elite Bistro restaurants, will feature.

Usher said the service aimed to take “all the hassle out of cooking at home”.

He said: “The idea is you just drop it into a pan of water at home and I’ll show you how long for and then what to do next.

“But it will be a case of snipping it out, doing a couple of bits, and hopefully recreating the Elite Bistros experience at home.”

Elite Bistros includes Hispi, Burnt Truffle and Kala, all in the north west.
